TIRANA, January 9 – Prime Minister Edi Rama said the government will support citizens affected by floods. He added that authorities will compensate both for damaged homes and livestock.

Rama recalled that the government handled previous inherited obligations, including floods in Shkodër, and noted that climate challenges are increasing every year. He assured citizens that the state will fulfill all responsibilities with human, political, and institutional dignity.

The prime minister said state and municipal structures will continue working without interruption until the situation stabilizes. He also urged majority party MPs to stay close to people and support them during the emergency.
