Prime Minister Edi Rama congratulated Kosovo’s President Vjosa Osmani on receiving an invitation from U.S. President Donald Trump to join the Peace Board.

In a post on X, Rama called it a deeply meaningful gesture from President Trump toward Kosovo.

“Congratulations, Madam President, dear Vjosa, for receiving the invitation to join the Peace Board — a powerful gesture from President Trump that strengthens the friendship between the United States and the Albanian people. It also sends a clear signal about Kosovo’s security and its place within the broader American sphere of interest,” Rama wrote.

He added that he hopes Kosovo’s political leaders will value this hand extended by the U.S. President.

“Once again, congratulations. I trust that Kosovo’s political actors will appreciate this gesture, which reflects both respect for you personally and recognition of your international role,” Rama said.
