TIRANA, January 26 – Iron Peak, located in the heart of the Albanian Alps in Tropoja, is one of the most impressive destinations for mountain tourism and adventure enthusiasts. It also ranks among the most challenging peaks.

Covered in snow this January, the mountain offers a spectacular view. It provides a unique experience for climbers and for mountain lovers observing the scenery from a distance.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared images on social media showing a group of climbers reaching the peak. Observers noted the impressive effort required to reach the top.

The Albanian flag marked the achievement at the summit, symbolizing national pride.

Iron Peak rises to 2,561 meters and overlooks the Valbona Valley. Its many glacial cirques give the peak a sharp pyramidal shape.

The surrounding area preserves untouched nature, rich biodiversity, and the characteristic traditions of Tropoja. Visitors can combine alpine adventure with mountain hiking, exploration of local flora and fauna, and exposure to Albanian culture and traditions.
