The “Skampis 2024” Painting Colony gathered 20 renowned artists from Albanian-speaking regions for a three-day event in Elbasan. Focusing on the city’s historic “Kala” quarter and its picturesque tourist destinations, the artists also depicted traditional costumes of local communities in their work.

Artur Guni, Director of Elbasan’s Agency for Culture and Tourism, emphasized the importance of this initiative in showcasing the city’s historical assets and cultural heritage. He revealed plans for a larger-scale edition next year, aiming to expand the artistic exploration of tourist destinations and cultural monuments.

Concluding the event, the participating artists donated select pieces to enrich the collection of Elbasan’s Art Gallery, reflecting the city’s charm and historical significance.
