Divorce and Communication: Themes of “Zbulimi” Resonate at Skampa Theatre in Elbasan

The comedy “Zbulimi”, written by Jon Mechann, was recently staged at the Skampa Theatre in Elbasan, featuring the real-life married couple Salsano Rrapi and Erjona Kakeli. The play addresses a timely issue—divorce—primarily caused by the breakdown of communication between partners.

The story revolves around a minister and a famous screenwriter, who find themselves lost within the empty halls of their marriage, with communication being their last hope. The actors successfully conveyed powerful emotions to the Elbasan audience, while also delivering profound messages about family and relationships.

Salsano Rrapi shared, “We’ve set boundaries between our professional and personal lives. When we are at work, we focus on work, and when we are on stage, we focus on the performance. We are very good partners here, despite being married, and this helps us.”

Erjona Kakeli highlighted, “The most important message of this play is that if you manage to communicate, it means you have found a way forward.”

The comedy “Zbulimi” will be restaged for audiences at the National Apolloni Festival, currently taking place in Fier.
