Albania, Kosovo, and Croatia Hold Trilateral Meeting on Defense Cooperation

Albania, military leaders from Albania, Kosovo, and Croatia met for a trilateral defense cooperation meeting in Shkodër.

Lieutenant General Arben Kingji, Chief of the Albanian Armed Forces, led the meeting together with his Croatian and Kosovar counterparts.

The talks focused on deepening military cooperation through concrete plans and joint action.

“Our goal is to strengthen commitment and coordination in defense, in line with the trilateral agreement between our countries,” Kingji said in a social media post that shared moments from the meeting.

Through this meeting, Kosovo, Albania, and Croatia are turning their defense cooperation into real practice. This process began after the defense ministers of the three countries signed a joint declaration on March 18 in Tirana.

The declaration, signed by Ejup Maqedonci of Kosovo, Pirro Vengu of Albania, and Ivan Anušić of Croatia, set out four key areas of cooperation:

  • Promoting defense capabilities and developing defense industries.

  • Enhancing interoperability through education, training, and exercises.

  • Responding to hybrid threats and strengthening resilience.

  • Providing full support for Euro-Atlantic integration.

The declaration emphasized unity and readiness to face emerging threats and to achieve shared security and defense goals.
