Albania’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Elisa Spiropali, took part in the Munich Security Conference, where political and military leaders from around the world gathered to discuss current global security challenges.

During meetings with international partners, Spiropali stressed that Albania is present as a reliable ally within NATO and as a steady voice of stability in the Western Balkans, at a time when the security environment in Europe and beyond faces new dynamics and multiple challenges.

This year’s discussions in Munich focused on strengthening the transatlantic alliance, developments related to the war in Ukraine, tensions in the Middle East and broader uncertainties affecting international relations.

Spiropali reaffirmed Albania’s clear Euro-Atlantic orientation and its commitment to strategic partnerships that guarantee the country’s security and development. She emphasized that in an increasingly unstable world, the values of freedom, solidarity and cooperation remain essential.

Albania, she underlined, will continue contributing to regional security and to the strengthening of the transatlantic partnership, while advancing its integration process toward the European Union.
