The “Violinist Marathon,” now in its 12th edition, recently took place at the University of Arts with the event titled “Violinistic Greetings.”

This concert featured the compositions of renowned Swiss pianist and composer Katharina Nohl, alongside the works of violinist Ina Kosturi, offering a unique experience where the creator also serves as the performer of their own compositions.

A highlight of the concert was the premiere of the “Sonata for Violin and Piano,” composed and performed by Ina Kosturi on violin, accompanied by Elvina Gurra Koçillari on piano.

Katharina Nohl is not only a composer but also the director of the “Swiss Female Composer” festival, with her music performed in numerous venues worldwide. In 2022, her composition “Rhapsody for Piano” received the prestigious “Global Music Award.”

The event was organized with the support of the Ministry of Economy, Culture, and Innovation, the Municipality of Tirana, the University of Arts, and was facilitated by the association “Bota e Artit.”
