American Cultural Week Kicks Off Tomorrow with Exciting Events and Celebrations

The International Cultural Weeks have announced the schedule of events for the American Cultural Week, which begins tomorrow, October 19, and continues until October 23.

The program will feature a rich array of exhibitions, live concerts, and exciting workshops with New York-based designer Noor Bchara.

A musical event organized by the Albanian-American Development Foundation (AADF) will kick off American Cultural Week and celebrate AADF’s 15th anniversary. Elton Deda & Band will create a festive atmosphere, promoting friendship and collaboration between the two countries. The concert will take place Saturday afternoon at the New Bazaar.

Space Night is an educational and engaging event centered on space exploration and astronomy, offering a range of interactive activities and exhibitions aimed primarily at participants aged 12-18, hosted at the American Corner Tirana, in the National Library.

As part of the U.S. Embassy’s support for the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE), designer Noor Bchara will conduct a seminar with AWE participants, followed by a public celebration of AWE’s five-year anniversary in Albania.

This event will be held at Destil Creative Hub in Tirana. The recycling workshop, led by designer and sustainability consultant Noor Bchara, promotes sustainable fashion by teaching young people various ways to transform old clothes—such as shirts, jackets, or other garments—into something they’d enjoy wearing again. Participants will explore outfits created by Noor Bchara, alongside designs made in collaboration with students from UA. The fair will showcase video games and technology driven by young people, as well as handmade crafts by women and a live musical performance.
