TIRANA, March 5 – Kosova marks 28 years since the Jashari family fell in Prekaz. This event began the Kosva Liberation Army (KLA) epic, symbolizing the fight for freedom and national dignity.

On 5–7 March 1998, Serbian forces surrounded the Jashari compound. Adem Jashari and his family resisted until death, showing courage and determination. Their sacrifice inspired thousands of young Kosovans to join the KLA and advance the fight for liberation and independence.

Today, the Kosova Assembly and the Kosova Government also held solemn sessions to honor their memory.
