National Folklore Festival “Oda Dibrane” Concludes its 30th Edition with Resounding Success

The “Oda Dibrane” National Folklore Festival successfully marked its 30th edition last evening in Peshkopi, where the performances of participating ensembles left a profound impact on the audience that filled the “Haki Stërmilli” Cultural Palace.
This milestone anniversary was distinguished by the inclusion of a folkloric group from the Arbëresh community of Italy and a special performance by the National Ensemble of Songs and Dances. Folklore groups from Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, and the Presheva Valley also contributed to the diverse array of cultural presentations, emphasizing the festival’s inclusive and pan-Albanian character.
The official inauguration of the festival was conducted by the mayors of Dibër, Albania, and Dibër, North Macedonia, both of whom underscored Oda Dibrane’s role in preserving and promoting the Dibra region’s traditions while serving as a platform for sustained cross-border cooperation.
A notable feature of this edition was the parade of traditional costumes, which attracted significant attention from both residents and visitors. The vibrant, intricately designed garments showcased the cultural heritage of the region’s villages and towns, reflecting the diversity and depth of Albania’s intangible cultural legacy.
More than a cultural celebration, Oda Dibrane has established itself as a key mechanism for promoting local tourism and reinforcing inter-community ties, contributing to the socio-cultural and economic development of the Dibër region.
