The Director General of the European Broadcasting Union, Noel Curran, visited Radio Televizioni Shqiptar. He was welcomed by Director General Eni Vasili. During the meeting, Curran learned more about the challenges and the complex situation facing Albania’s public broadcaster.

As part of the visit, Curran also met with Edi Rama. He attended the meeting together with RTSH Director General Eni Vasili and the broadcaster’s Director of External Relations. During the discussion, the Prime Minister received a 60-page report prepared by EBU experts for RTSH.

After reviewing the report and its action plan, Rama expressed support for launching the institutional reform of RTSH. Moreover, he backed efforts to transform the public broadcaster into a modern and sustainable institution that serves the public.

Meanwhile, during his visit to RTSH, Curran reaffirmed the EBU’s commitment to support the broadcaster. Therefore, he stressed that the organization is ready to provide maximum assistance throughout the transformation process.
