Inauguration of Exhibition Dedicated to Old Neighborhood of Mangalem by Post-Modern Painter Pashk Përvathi

Dozens of Albanian painters and numerous art enthusiasts were present at the inauguration of the exhibition by contemporary post-modern painter Pashk Përvathi, which is entirely dedicated to the old neighborhood of Mangalem, showcasing 35 of his most impressive paintings.

Colleagues regard the art of this painter as the magic of a true reality.

“In Përvathi’s paintings, the air is depicted. It is very important that the painting is not merely a canvas but something that can be felt. Përvathi is an outstanding painter,” his colleagues assess.

Përvathi was a student when he first visited Berat in 1988 with a colony of painters. Since then, this city has become his muse. The old neighborhood and its narrow streets are emotionally resonant for the painter, where he has discovered beauty intertwined with sunlit hues in his nature compositions.

According to the Mayor of Berat, Ervin Demo, an entire neighborhood painted by a great master adds a new certification to the city.

“These paintings by Përvathi best demonstrate that a painter of such stature grants the city a different certification,” stated Demo.

The great master and bearer of the Order, Naim Frashëri, painter Përvathi will keep his exhibition in Berat for 10 days, during which visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy his extraordinary art.
