In 1925, he was commissioned by the Directorate of Press and Tourist Propaganda to create a series of artistic photographs of Pogradec. This engagement would establish him as the first photographer of artistic photography in the region.
In 1947, Misto Cici was recognized as the best photographer for the quality and accuracy of his work during the campaign to equip the population with new passports. He became the foremost photographer in Pogradec and the pioneer of artistic photography in Albania.
