40 artists from around the world are featured in the Contemporary Art Biennale in Durrës

Approximately 40 artists from various countries around the world will participate in the first edition of the International Biennale of Contemporary Art in Durrës, which will open from October 5 to November 24.
This biennale aims to transform the city of Durrës into a significant stage for visual art.
The Minister of Economy, Culture, and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhja, stated that “the biennale will feature 17 pavilions, and the participating artists will interpret the theme: Artificial Intelligence: The Hybrid Future. This approach not only stimulates the imagination of the contemporary creative artist but also highlights the algorithm of the very existence of human beings, straddling the line between the rational and the irrational, the real and the surreal.”
The national pavilions of the participating states will be exhibited in some of the most iconic institutions of the city of Durrës, as well as in several cultural heritage sites, including the Roman Amphitheater, the Venetian Tower, the Byzantine Forum, and the Medieval Hammam.
This exhibition serves as a means to focus the creative attention of the most distinguished contemporary artists, both local and international, on the coastal city.
