Albania’s participation in the Leipzig International Book Fair created an important space for dialogue and promotion of Albanian literature and culture.

Represented by the National Center for Book and Reading, Albania’s stand welcomed numerous visitors, including diaspora and international guests. Blendi Gonxhja said the participation had a positive impact, increasing interest in Albanian creativity.

“Authors, selected publications, and organized activities strengthened cultural cooperation and presented Albania with dignity at one of Europe’s major book events,” Gonxhja said.

This year’s edition featured the theme “When Stories Connect Us,” highlighting literature as a bridge between cultures. Albania also showcased its newest publications through Traduki, the European network supporting Southeast European literatures, emphasizing the country’s literary heritage.
