Minister of Education Mirela Kumbaro met today with her Italian counterpart, Giuseppe Valditara. The meeting took place during the “Global Education Monitoring Report 2026” event in Paris.

First, they discussed expanding bilateral cooperation in education. They focused on internationalization and ongoing joint projects between the two countries.

Next, Kumbaro said that Albania and Italy have strong potential to deepen cooperation. She emphasized initiatives that improve quality and increase access in the education system.

Furthermore, she announced that the dialogue started under UNESCO will continue. The next step will take place in Albania. An official visit by Minister Valditara is expected.

Finally, she added that both sides will present concrete initiatives. These initiatives will strengthen internationalization and support progress toward the Education 2030 goals.
