The Tirana Art Gallery launched its fall season with two exhibitions featuring artists Arnilda Kyçyku and Doris Graf, both of whom were in residence and offered unique views on Tirana.

The exhibitions represent the final outcomes of their research and artistic endeavors during the 2023-2024 residency. The artists explored the city’s urban and psycho-social aspects from both internal and external perspectives, developing new methods of inquiry to understand how we interact with our environment and what the city signifies for its residents.

Supported by the Tirana Art Gallery and the Municipality of Tirana, as well as the German Embassy and the Goethe Center in Tirana, the projects “Tirana 1+1” and “CityX- Me, Tirana” include workshops and educational programs.

Arnilda Kyçyku’s “Tirana 1+1” merges exterior and interior elements, reflecting her connection to the city through social and emotional aspects. Doris Graf’s “CityX- Me, Tirana” brings together city residents, highlighting both their diversity and commonalities through drawings and pictograms.
