The third edition of the International Dance Festival of Tirana is being inaugurated with a performance of “The Swan Lake”

The International Dance Festival of Tirana returns for its third edition, featuring artists and choreographers from around the world, in a platform where tradition meets contemporary expression.
The announcement was made by the Minister of Economy, Culture, and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhja, who stated that this edition opens with Swan Lake for two consecutive nights at the National Theater of Opera and Ballet. The production is staged by renowned choreographer Angelin Preljocaj, marking its premiere in Albania.
Preljocaj breathes new life into this classical masterpiece by Tchaikovsky, blending it with more modern arrangements. While remaining faithful to the original work, the choreographer places the swan princess’s story at the heart of contemporary issues.
The International Contemporary Dance Festival in Tirana offers an excellent opportunity to experience movement, creativity, and inspiration, bringing together artists and dance enthusiasts from across the globe in this extraordinary cultural journey.
