Rama: New financing program with lower interest rates for businesses

Prime Minister Edi Rama visited an industrial complex in Durrës. Several companies operate in transport, recycling, and industrial processing. He praised investments in technology and skills. He said they increase wages and create quality jobs.
Rama said the Albanian economy shows positive growth. However, he noted more room for expansion. Therefore, the government is preparing a special financing program. It will focus on small and medium enterprises. It will also support larger companies that invest in staff and advanced processes.
The new program, “Double Your Enterprise,” will ease access to credit. It will offer lower interest rates. The state will support the financial instrument.
Rama said businesses can access loans up to €2 million. They must present a growth plan. The state will act as guarantor. Consequently, companies will invest more easily.
The initiative targets entrepreneurs with clear ideas but limited funds. In addition, the program will include wage criteria. Authorities will implement it with banks. The plan will create stable support for business growth.
