Korça preferred Orthodox Easter destination as tourists choose short stays

TIRANA, April 10 – Korça remains one of Albania’s preferred destinations for Easter holidays. The city attracts visitors with a festive atmosphere and seasonal activities. Tourism operators report satisfactory booking levels, although capacity is not yet full. The holiday weekend is approaching, and demand is still developing. Hotels and guesthouses continue to monitor last-minute reservations.

Tourism operator Klaus Pronjari says bookings remain relatively stable. However, he notes lower performance compared to previous years. He explains that operators expected longer holiday stays due to the festive period. Instead, demand has shifted toward shorter visits. Despite this, operators remain prepared for possible increases in arrivals. They maintain flexibility in accommodation planning to respond to changing demand.

Most reservations now involve one or two-night stays. Longer stays appear less frequent but still present in some cases. Domestic tourists account for the majority of bookings in Korça. At the same time, the city also receives visitors from North Macedonia, Kosova, and Montenegro. This mix of visitors supports steady weekend tourism flows. As a result, hospitality services adjust to short-term travel patterns.

Easter continues to drive consistent tourist inflows to Korça each year. Visitors are drawn by tradition, hospitality, and seasonal atmosphere. In response, local businesses prepare for higher activity during the holiday period. Authorities and operators also anticipate possible last-minute arrivals. The city strengthens its festive offer through events and decorations. Korça maintains its position as a key Easter destination in the region.
