Albania gains ground as emerging European destination for Indian tourists, Travel and Tour World reports

TIRANA, April 20 – Albania is strengthening its position as a growing destination for Indian tourists, according to Travel and Tour World. The report highlights increasing tourism flows and expanding bilateral engagement between Albania and India.
Visitor numbers from India have risen steadily in recent years following visa liberalization in 2020. Indian Ambassador to Albania Ravindra Prasad Jaiswal said between 30,000 and 35,000 Indian tourists visited the country last year. He added that arrivals nearly doubled in the first four months of 2025 compared with the same period a year earlier.
The growth reflects broader interest among Indian travelers in destinations offering cultural heritage, natural landscapes and competitive travel costs. Albania has responded with expanding tourism services, including accommodation, guided tours and tailored travel experiences to meet international demand.
Beyond tourism, Albania and India continue to develop ties in investment and cultural exchange. Officials expect that increased travel flows and business engagement will support economic activity and strengthen long-term cooperation between the two countries.
