The Albanian Language Competition brought together 11,000 pupils across the country

The country’s 9-year-old schools are holding the semi-final stage of the Albanian Language National Competition 2024, held within the framework of the Year of the Albanian Language, an initiative of the Ministry of Education and Sports.
Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama shared on social networks moments from the development of this competition, where 16 semi-finalist schools from all over the country participate.
“Some of the most exciting moments of the semi-final stage of the Albanian Language National Competition, a great celebration of the language that brought together 11,000 pupils from 930 different schools across the country in the Year of the Albanian Language,” writes Rama.
This competition aims to encourage students not only to compete, but also to expand their cultural horizons and learn more about their language and heritage, emphasizing the importance of the Albanian language as an essential part of our national identity in a fast-paced era of technological changes and developments.
This year’s theme, “Albanian language as national, cultural identity and communication in the age of technology,” reflects the importance of Albanian language as a bridge between tradition and modernity, emphasizing the need to preserve and develop the Albanian tongue treasure in an increasingly globalizing world.
