TIRANA, July 24 – Spanish media outlet “La Sexta” has featured the Albanian Riviera among Europe’s preferred summer destinations for travellers seeking authentic experiences away from mass tourism.

In an article by Aine Diaz, “La Sexta” writes that Europe still has destinations that remain less explored despite their significant tourism potential.

The Spanish media recommends places that offer natural and cultural attractions while avoiding large tourist crowds. The list includes the Albanian Riviera, Croatia’s Pelješac Peninsula, the Slovenian Coast, Portugal’s Azores Islands and Britain’s Jurassic Coast.

According to “La Sexta”, the Albanian coast is one of the Mediterranean’s most authentic summer destinations. The article notes that Albania was isolated for many years, but more visitors have discovered the country’s tourism potential in recent years.

The media highlights the Riviera’s turquoise waters, coastal villages, scenic roads and local cuisine. It also mentions similarities between some Albanian beaches and those of the Greek islands.

“La Sexta” also points to Albania’s quality-price ratio. The article states that, despite price increases in recent years, the country remains more affordable than neighbouring destinations such as Greece and Croatia.
