International stage musician Red Radoja: Tosk polyphony and Gheg Epos is pride for Albanians

The musician of the international stages and the well-known pianist Red Radoja, in a direct communication via Skype in the studio of the show “Jetë Shqiptare” /Albanian Life/ on RTSH said that it is a pride to have the Tosk and Gheg polyphony as well as the Epos of Kreshniks, pointing out that the other parts of folklore are interesting as pure as they are.
“For the Albanian folklore, maybe I will be a little more limited and maybe not everyone will like this, but I think that in our folklore, we can be proud first of all with the polyphony of the south, which is divided into the Tosk style and the Lab style, and in the north we have the songs that are sung with finger to ear and “Epos of Kreshniks”. The rest is really interesting, can be entertaining, but in my opinion it doesn’t have that purity in terms of influences,” said the well-known pianist Red Radoja.
