20th edition of the International Festival ‘Marie Kraja’ to take place on March 28th and 29th at the National Theater of Opera and Ballet

Returning for its milestone edition, the International Opera Vocal Festival “Marie Kraja” will feature sixteen young operatic voices, fifteen of whom hail from across the globe, alongside one Albanian contestant. They will perform on the festival stage dedicated to classical music, accompanied by the RTSH orchestra.

“This year, our jury comprises the most distinguished personalities from the operatic world in Europe and beyond,” stated the organizers. “On the final night, opera stars will share the stage with luminaries from pop, rock, and Albanian light music. The lineup promises to be even more dazzling than last year.”

Soprano Enkeleda Kamani, who previously triumphed in the festival, will return as a presenter for the fourth consecutive year.

“I confidently assert that this festival stands on par with, or even surpasses, the most renowned festivals in Europe today,” she remarked. “It is a source of immense pride and a testament to our artistic stature.”

Joining the jury is Vikena Kamenica, who expressed admiration for the impressive talent of the sixteen young vocalists.

“It is a remarkable achievement for an Albanian festival dedicated to lyrical music to have endured the challenges and fluctuations of the past 20 years,” she said.

The 20th edition is scheduled to take place on March 27th, 28th, and 29th.
