March 27, 1767 is the date of the icon of the three hierarchs in the church of Saint George in Vithkuq, the work of two well-known medieval painters from Mokër in Korça, the brothers Kostandin and Athanas Zografi. The work stands out for its large size, the ethnographic wealth of the painted clothing, and for its high level and artistic skill.

On March 27, 1920, the first issue of the weekly newspaper “Drita” /The Light/ directed by Veli Harshova was published in Gjirokastër. The weekly dealt with political and social problems by maintaining a democratic attitude.

On March 27, 1931, The Shkodër composer, violinist and classical music teacher Pjetër Gaci was born. He started his violin studies at the “J. Misja” Artistic High School, in the years 1948-1952, to continue at the Moscow Conservatory Tchaikovsky, where from he graduated. He was a lecturer at the Artistic High School and then at the Higher Institute of Arts. He started his artistic career as a violinist and became the founder of Albanian violin music. He reached the peak as composer with the songs as “Për ty atdhe” /To You Fatherland/ and “Gryka e Kaçanikut” /The Kaçanik Gorge/. He passed away in Shkodër on March 27, 1995.
