TIRANA, August 17 – Lake Dega in Belsh, a first-category natural monument, remains one of the most picturesque lakes in the Dumre area. The destination continues to attract Albanian and foreign visitors.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared images of the lake on social media, highlighting the natural beauty of Dumre. The published views show the lake surrounded by greenery and the area’s characteristic landscape.

Belsh has become an important tourist destination in Elbasan County after its full revitalisation. The area offers natural scenery throughout the year, while spring and autumn stand out for their colourful vegetation.

Dumre counts around 84 lakes of different sizes. Each lake has its own character and natural features. Several lakes, including Seferan, Merhoja, Cestija and Dega, are known for their beauty and rich flora.

The lakes of Dumre are especially attractive in spring, when visitors can see water plants such as white and yellow lilies, which are characteristic of these waters.
