It was February 27, 1879, when this primer of the Albanian Language was published in Istanbul. This publication was made possible thanks to the initiative of Sami Frashëri, Jani Vreto and Pashko Vasa.

“Alphabetary of the Albanian language, as it was called, did not represent a typical primer, as it includes a series of didactic writings, authored by the initiators. Muslims (the Frashëri brothers), Catholic Christian (Pashko Vasa) and Orthodox Christian (Jani Vreto) worked closely to put it up, guided by the ideal of patriotism.

This work of diverse values ​​laid the foundations of the renewal and redefining process of Albanian linguistics.
