Toni Milaq’s exhibition at Tirana Art Gallery

At the Tirana Art Gallery (TAG), the solo exhibition of artist Toni Milaqi, “Introspection,” has opened. This exhibition serves as a journey through time and the various periods of the artist’s life, showcasing different phases of his creativity, urban and rural landscapes, self-portraits, portraits of his family circle, compositions, with both political and spiritual subjects.
“I create because I deeply believe in the future and in my own way, I oppose the philosophy of violence, both physically and spiritually,” expresses the artist.
Toni Milaqi studied painting at the “Jordan Misja” Art High School and later at the Academy of Arts of Albania (now the University of Arts), specializing in monumental painting. With a 30-year career, he has organized several solo exhibitions worldwide, including “De la violence et d’autres demons” (2016) at Desmos Galerie, Paris; “The Sleep of Reason Produces Monsters” at Balkan Art Gallery, Xanthi (1999); Astrolavos Gallery, Piraeus (1996), and Dimokritos Gallery, Athens.
TAG has scheduled a conversation with artist Milaqi regarding his first solo exhibition in Albania, inviting art enthusiasts to participate and explore the work of another Albanian artist.
