In Albania, the first and longest-lasting media is Radio Tirana, which just a few months ago turned 85 years old.

From free radio to web radio, to the latest broadcasts, podcasts, communication travels and adapts with technological changes, but regardless of everything, radio remains the medium with the widest penetration capacity.

On February 13, 1946, the United Nations Radio broadcasted its first radio program. To commemorate this historic moment, UNESCO decided in 2011 that February 13th would be observed as World Radio Day.
