Kosovo Philharmonic Choir kicks off the Independence Day celebration in Tirana

The Kosovo Philharmonic Choir kicked off their country’s Independence Month in Tirana, at the Opera Theater.
After rehearsals in the theater, the artists led by conductor Rafed Rudi gave exciting performances this weekend on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the creation of the Choir as well as within the framework of inter-institutional cooperation.
Pieces such as “Concerto fantasy” for violin and choir by Rafet Rudi were performed, as well as works by Mendi Mengjiqi, Aulon Naçi, Baki Jashari, but also well-known foreign authors such as Eric Ëhitacre, Ko Matsushita, or Eriks Esenvlads.
Among the artists, the audience also welcomed the well-known violinist Sihana Badivuku.
The artists of the Kosovo Philharmonic performed Albanian pieces for the public. But the surprises don’t end there. The holiday will continue to be celebrated in Prishtina, where Kosovo and Albania will come together, celebrating 16 years of independence, through a joint concert with our Folk Ensemble and the “Shota” Ensemble of Kosovo.
