Albanian Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro participated today in the first meeting of the Inter-institutional Council of Tourism Statistics.

Kumbaro said that this council is a new organization that will help us with the data processing.

“Together with the Albanian Development Fund, the Bank of Albania, INSTAT, the Ministry of the Interior and a number of other institutions, we will cooperate in building a unified international system – Tourism Satellite Account – an ambitious project, which is in line with the Strategy of Tourism 2024-2030 and with the latest law improvements, to have real-time and accessible data at any moment,” wrote Kumbaro in a post on social network.

This new methodology of tourism statistics will be aligned with the international methodology approved by the World Tourism Organization.
