Saimir Strati, the Albanian artist of mosaics narrated for RTSH show “Good Morning Albania”all his artistic journey from the first application, to the techniques that distinguish him from other artists, to grabbing 11 Guinness records.

Strati has stated that his first record was the nail work of Leonardo Da Vinci, a new category which immediately distinguished him from other applicants. He said, among other things, that 8 out of 11 Guinness records were new categories.

“Mosaic is an ancient technique. At least in Albania we have it for 3500 years. Through time this technique has evolved, there has been a heavy traffic in these 3500 years and it has not been easy to find an innovation within this ancient technique. However, I did it. I have turned basic materials into art and Albania’s name and mine have been written 11 times in the world’s largest encyclopedia, the Guinness Book of Records, and it is a matter of pride.

The portrait of Leonardo Da Vinci made with nails is my first record. I had never thought in my daily life to do a work for Guinness record.

I thought of making something that cannot be printed and I dedicated it to Leonardo Da Vinci.

We have learned and continue to learn. Something with three-dimensional nails. I thought about applying to Guinness records and it was a new category. 8 of my records are new categories. In the future, you break yourself, having the same technique”, said Strati.
