PM Rama: Antisemitism must not hide behind silence three years after October 7 attacks

Prime Minister Edi Rama marked three years since the October 7, 2023 attacks in Israel. He remembered the victims and survivors and condemned terrorism and antisemitism. He said the pain remains for families who lost loved ones and for survivors.
Rama also recalled his visit to the site of the Nova music festival. He said many young people died there during the attack. He described Nova as a place where silence speaks louder than words. He also referred to Besa, a traditional Albanian value, and recalled the protection that many Albanian families gave to Jews during the Holocaust.
Meanwhile, Rama called for continued remembrance of the victims. He said society must not allow antisemitism to become normal. He also urged people to remain loyal to friends during difficult times.
“Antisemitism must never again be allowed to hide behind silence, slogans or justifications,” Rama wrote on X. He also called for remembrance to prevail over indifference and expressed condolences to families mourning their loved ones.
