Albania’s Central State Film Archive (AQSHF) is restoring the classic film “The Last Winter”. The project will bring the film back to audiences in a restored version. Prime Minister Edi Rama shared footage from the restoration work and praised the archive’s efforts to protect Albania’s cinematic heritage.

The restoration will preserve the film’s place in Albania’s cultural memory. It will also help younger generations discover the country’s film history, artistic legacy and cultural values. AQSHF is also restoring other materials as part of its wider preservation work.

The restored film will return an important work of Albanian cinema to the public and give it a new life for future generations.
