An exhibition featuring rare publications dedicated to Skanderbeg

The National Book and Reading Center (NBRC) commemorated the 556th anniversary of the death of George Kastrioti Skanderbeg through various activities.
An exhibition of rare publications on Scanderbeg was opened in the premises of NBRC, featuring notable works such as ‘Historia e Skënderbeu’ by Fan Noli, the first edition from 1921.
Historians Ferit Duka and Nevila Nika incorporated the global dimensions of this important figure into their speech, highlighting his significance not only for Europe but also as an eternal symbol of human freedom.
During this meeting, the Bibliography ‘George Kastrioti Skanderbeg in the works of Albanian authors,’ authored by Hysen Dizdari, was also promoted. Additionally, an exhibition of contemporary publications on this figure was opened. The bibliography spans from 1480 to September 2023.
The primary objective of this bibliography is to describe historical books, literary and artistic works, biographies, albums, and various catalogs dedicated to our national hero George Kastrioti Skanderbeg. These works are written in both Albanian and foreign languages by authors of Albanian ethnicity and origin.
This bibliography complements other works in this genre on the figure of Skanderbeg written by prominent bibliographers such as Prof. Gjergj Prekazi, Dhimitër Shuteriqi, Palok Daka, Jup Kastrati, Isak Shema, Ibrahim Rugova, Maksim Gjinaj, Etleva Domi, Willy Kasmi, and others.
