Geophysical Surveys Seek Archaeological Traces in Trojas, Belsh

Albania’s National Institute of Cultural Heritage (IKTK), in cooperation with the Faculty of Geology and Mining at the Polytechnic University of Tirana, has conducted geophysical surveys in Trojas village, near Belsh, to investigate potential archaeological remains.
Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport Blendi Gonxhja said the surveys build on earlier work by IKTK specialists, who had already identified archaeological ruins in the area.
The team aims to detect geophysical anomalies and pinpoint areas with greater archaeological potential. The findings will help experts document and study possible structures preserved underground. They will also guide future fieldwork and further archaeological investigations.
