-On November 21, 1566, the Albanian writer and clergyman, Pjeter Budi, was born in Guri e Bardhë, in Mat. Some of his works are The Christian Doctrine, Roman Ritual and Reflection of Confession. In December 1622, he drowned while crossing the river Drin, taking with him the suspicions of a non-accidental death.

-On November 21, 1914, the Tsar of Russia, opening a geographical map of the Balkans, showed the Ambassador of France in Petersburg, the plan on the dismemberment of Albania.

-The elders of Hot and Gruda (in Montegegro), on November 21, 1918, through a memorandum sent to Washington, Paris, London and Rome, asked the great powers for their freedom and human rights.

-In Chicago, United States, on November 21, 1921, Albanian emigrants published the first issue of the monthly “The Albanian Journal” newspaper in English and Albanian. Its publishers were Gjon Adami and Thoma Vasili.

-On November 21, 1923, the First Synod established in Berat announced Fan Noli as archbishop. The ceremony took place in the church of Saint George in Korça.

-November 21, 1943, the Zall-Herr Congress was held. The event was the public effort of all Albanian nationalists to have an Albania where the rule of law, order and national security reigned.

-On November 21-st, 1944, the drama school was established in Tirana, directed by the director Sokrat Mio. Besim Levonja, Naim Frashëri, Kadri Roshi, Andrea Malo, Andon Pano, Lazër Filipi, Prokop Mima, Ndrek Shkjezi and Gjon Karma received their first theatrical knowledge in this school.

-On November 21, 1970, the prominent stage actor Bexhet Nelku, who made a special contribution as a lecturer at High Institution of Arts, today the University of Arts, passed away.

-On November 21, 1999, Marie Kraja “People’s Artist” and “Great Master of Work” passed away in Tirana. Graduated in singing at the Graz Conservatory in Austria, she returns to her homeland and performs leading roles in the first Albanian operas. Many arias, romances, concert pieces, as well as over 300 folk songs are part of her repertoire.
