Prominent figures in Albania’s artistic community in the field of music, literature, and the performing arts, have shared some details about the 62nd Song Festival at National Radio Television (RTSH). This event stands as the most significant musical gathering, not only in Albania but also among all Albanian-speaking communities.

The team responsible for bringing the highly anticipated musical event of Fest 62 to life includes the artistic director, Bojken Lako, the screenwriter of the event, Enkel Demi, renowned Albanian musician Elton Deda, presenter Adriana Matoshi, and acclaimed director Pali Kuke. Alfred Peza, the general director of RTSH, will be the festival’s director.

During the press conference held for this event, Fest 62’s Artistic Director, Bojken Lako, highlighted in his introductory speech not only the significance of this musical event but also the commitment of all management levels at RTSH to ensure that Fest 62 attains the highest level of artistic excellence.

We began our work a few months ago, and it has been a journey filled with challenges, from the selection of materials to ensure the best possible presentation of this edition,” emphasized Lako.

Enkel Demi: It will be challenging for the jury

Enkel Demi, a well-known figure in the field of show moderation and a writer, will serve as the screenwriter for Fest 62. According to him, this edition promises to be extraordinary, and he expects the jury to face a challenging task.

“It’s a significant event for the entire music industry. The festival comes with its own set of challenges. I’m returning as the screenwriter for this festival. Our most potent tool at this festival will be the music itself, and I predict that the jury will face a tough task when it comes to choosing the first prize,” said Demi.

Pali Kuke: Those who perform at the RTSH Festival carry fame with them throughout their lives

The renowned director, Pali Kuke, succinctly summed up the festival’s fame organized by RTSH with a single sentence: ‘Those who step onto this stage become VIPs of the industry for life.’

“The fame accompanies them from the moment they set foot on this stage. It is one of the oldest festivals in Europe. Two decades ago, we ventured into the European festival scene for the first time. We have some excellent musical materials prepared, and there will be a variety of impressive performances. However, the surprises will remain undisclosed until the event unfolds,” said Kuke.

Adriana Matoshi: Fest62 is a challenge, but I embrace challenges

Adriana Matoshi, widely acclaimed as one of the most talented actresses of recent times, will be the host of Fest62. According to her, presenting the most important musical event in all Albanian-speaking lands is not just a privilege but also a thrilling challenge.

As a new presenter, I am participating in this event for the first time in my life. It’s a significant challenge for me, but as a person, I thrive on challenges. I can’t wait for the Festival to begin and to revel in the songs you have selected. Good luck to everyone, and I hope we can all enjoy this experience together,” said Matoshi.

The renowned musician Elton Deda, who will lead the band and serve as the pianist for the 62nd Song Festival at RTSH, emphasized that this musical event aims to set a new standard for Albanian music.

Speaking at the conference organized by the Albanian Radio Television song festival organizers, Deda stressed that the biggest musical event of the year is striving to move in the right direction.
