The 8th edition of the multi-ethnic festival of traditional songs and folklore, “BalkanFest,” took place in Prizren.

The festival brought together participants from all communities of the Republic of Kosovo, with over 250 performers from cultural and artistic societies from neighboring countries such as Albania, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Bulgaria. Additionally, there were special guests who came from the Presheva Valley.

The purpose of the “BalkanFest” festival is to promote and preserve traditional songs, folklore, dances, cultural diversity, and cultural heritage.

The festival was organized by the Association for Culture “PLEJADA – Prizren,” and the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports was one of its main supporters.
