Kosova’s war of 1999 through paintings, Gazmend Leka recalls on canvas the experiences of the massacres of Serbia

Bodies that are torn, disfigured, scattered randomly, other scenes that sometimes look like architecture covered by time, sometimes like hills where skulls and limbs are raised. In some other paintings there are signs that color the event, women who leave their homes in sorrow, separated from their children. This is the cycle of the paintings of the exhibition by Gazmend Leka, which was brought to the art lovers at the Fab Gallery. To remember and not to forget, as the painter says, the macabre acts of Serbia against Kosova over the years.
“To recreate once again crimes, atrocities against the Albanian population in Kosova”, says Gazmend Leka
The painter says that the idea of this exhibition was born in January of this year, but to whom is Abel dedicated?
“To show how a human kills another human, a neighbor kills a neighbor and evil never stops. It was always irritating when they asked the Kosovans to forgive the Serbs, while the Serbs have never asked for forgiveness,” says Gazmend Leka.
The personal exhibition of the painter Gazmend Leka will remain open until October 31 for all art lovers.
