On September 23, 1903, the patriotic teacher Said Najdeni, or as he is otherwise known, Hoxhë Voka, passed away. He turned his house in Dibër to an Albanian school. He was among the organizers of the Assembly of Dibër and the author of one of the first Albanian primers.

On September 23, 1908, the “Bashkimi” /The Union/ club of Manastir distributed throughout Albania and the Albanian colonies abroad an invitation to the Congress of the Alphabet of the Albanian language, known as the Congress of Manastir. The club regarded the alphabet as the key to meeting the needs of civilization and industrial progress.

The Dibër patriotic insurgents after liberating the town from the Serbian invaders created the provisional government of Dibër, which in a letter date of September 23, 1913, informs the Government of Vlora of their support and on facing possible attacks by Serbian chauvinists.

On September 23, 1920, People’s Artist Marie Logoreci was born in Shkodër. Marie Logoreci’s artistic life began as a singer at Radio Tirana in 1945 as a soloist, directly on the microphone. Her performing skills made it that in 1947 we find her on stage, already as an actress of the People’s Theatre. Marie Logoreci has given us a rich gallery of pictures where the character of Lokja in movie “Toka Jonë” /Our Earth/ stands out. She was awarded several times with medals and prizes at theater festivals. She passed away on June 19, 1988.

On September 23, 1936, the Albanian kingdom acceded to the International Convention on the Use of Radio Broadcasting in the Interest of Peace.
