The first date of the world tour, ‘Sanremo Giovani,’ on September 22 in Tirana

‘Sanremo Giovani,’ a music project that travels around the world, has selected Tirana as the first stop for its 2023 tour.

The concert will feature young Italian singers, led by the composer and conductor of the Sanremo Festival, Maurizio Filardo. However, this evening will also include Albanian music stars such as Marsela Çibukaj, MC Kresha, and Lyrical Son.

The concert on September 22 in Italia Square is anticipated to be a fantastic musical event. It is being organized by the Italian Institute of Culture, the Italian Embassy in Tirana, and the Municipality of Tirana.

Albanian Radio Television (RTSH), in collaboration with the Municipality of Tirana, will be a partner in organizing the ‘Sanremo Giovani’ festival.

In an interview with RTSH, Alessandro Ruggera, Director of the Italian Institute of Culture, emphasized the significance of this festival for young Italian singers.

“This marks the second edition of ‘Sanremo Giovane’ that we are bringing to Tirana; we were here last year as well. It’s a parallel competition to Sanremo, one of the most significant moments in the Italian music scene. This parallel journey serves to showcase the talents of young Italians. The best performers are selected here through a collaboration between the Italian Foreign Ministry, RAI, and the Italian Institute of Culture. For the second consecutive year, we’re launching it from Tirana and extending its reach to other Balkan cities, including Pristina, Belgrade, and Sarajevo,” explained Alessandro Ruggera, Director of the Italian Institute of Culture.

This collaboration will bring together young Italian and Albanian singers, presenting a beautiful festival in Tirana.
