An exciting evening among artists took place for the restored film ‘Mësonjëtorja’ at the Palace of the Brigades

In the Palace of the Brigades, a screening of the restored film ‘Mësonjëtorja’ took place. The event was attended by some of the film’s actors, filmmaking groups, and enthusiastic supporters of Albanian cinematography.

“An exciting evening among artists, family members of those who are no longer and we remember them with respect, and who left their mark on Albanian cinema”, said the Minister of Culture, Elva Margariti, who was present at this event.

In the projection room, screenwriter Natasha Lako, alongside some of the main actors like Roza Anagnosti, Ardian Cerga, and Petrika Riza, were in attendance. Also present were the family of the late director, Muharrem Fejzo. During the event, Minister Margariti fondly remembered director Fejzo, the film’s painter Ilia Xhokaxhi, the cinematographer Ilia Terpini, and the actor Gulielm Radoja, all of whom played pivotal roles in this iconic film but have since passed away.

“We did not have them among us to celebrate the good news, not only of the rescue of a film, but also of the establishment of a laboratory near the AQSHF, so that the digitization and restoration can be carried out near our institution”, declared the Minister of Culture.

The movie is an integral part of our film heritage, preserving the work and memory of our esteemed artists.

“Mësonjëtorja, a film-symbol of the effort for knowledge and a tribute to all the martyrs of the Albanian language, who sacrificed everything to keep this flame burning,” stated Minister Margariti.

The Central State Film Archive successfully restored the film ‘Mësonjëtorja,’ a production directed by Muharrem Fejzo, with a script by Natasha Lakos, and featuring the artistic talents of painters Shyqyri Sako and Ilia Xhokaxhi. The film boasts exceptional performances by renowned actors, including Roza Anagnosti, Gulielm Radoja, Robert Ndrenika, Ardian Cerga, among others.

The restoration of this film, featuring music by Limo Dizdari, became a reality through the collaborative efforts of the Central State Film Archive, Harabel Contemporary Art Platform, and ABI Bank.
