The program of the United Kingdom in the Week of British Culture comes with a series of talks, films, musical events that reveal not only British culture, but also relations with Albania.

Through conversations, education programs and the expression of creativity, this week will be organized in different places in Albania to connect even more culturally and artistically.

The week starts with the screening of the documentary “Adriatic Treasures  – Albania” by prof. Bettany Hughes. The documentary will be shown today for the first time in Tirana.

From the ancient Roman ports of Orikum and Apollonia to the amazing Lake Ohrid or the rich history of Berat, Bettany tells us how she got to know Albanian culture and history.

The show will be in the “Millenium” cinema at 20:00, offering free to the attendees, an intercultural journey. On Wednesday, the author will be in a conversation with students, at the “Agimi” art center.

 British Culture Week activities will also be held in Kukësi, Peshkopia, Durres and Korça.
