August brought a diversity of cultural and artistic events in Shkodra and beyond, where some of them came in the framework of “KultArt 2023” with their stops not only in the city, but also in some of tourist spots of the municipality, such as in Shiroka or Velipoja.

In this month, the XIV edition of the “Shkodra Jazz Festival” took place, which not only preserved the tradition of its development but also enriched it with invited artists from all over the world, bringing an exciting atmosphere to the square in front of the town hall.

Some other important cultural events have been scheduled for September. They started with an artistic performance of the Shkodra artist Suida Dushi in the hall of the municipality, followed by the piano concert of Florian Weber in the theater “Migjeni” as part of the third edition of “Ritual Piano Improvisation”, which will close on Friday, September 8th, in the same theater with another guest pianist as Fabrizio Ottaviuci.

During September, there will be exhibitions of various artists in the Art Gallery of Shkodra as well as in the “Oda” gallery, where some of them will start from the new week. On the 7th and 8th of September, the concert “Feast and Folklor” is expected to be held in the main square of the city, which brings the tradition closer to the public.

On September 15, another activity is expected to be held at the tourist point of Shiroka, focusing on the revitalization of the traditions and culture of the city of Shkodra with the participation of all age groups, enlivening the artistic life of the city.

On September 15 and 16, “Rozafa” castle will host another event such as “Tuba Fest”. This festival will have in its composition young performers as well as students of the University of Arts and the Faculty of Philology where the theme of the festival will be the Albanian folklore.

On September 26, the 12th edition of the international festival “Jazz in Albania” will be held at the “Arka” youth center, while this month will end up with a Shkodra traditional Concert, dedicated to the masterpieces of the Albanian spiritual heritage, which is expected to be held on Friday, September 29.
