Science, the Albanian people and the Albanian language, at least 6 thousand years old and autochthonous in their lands.

The Academy of Sciences of Albania shared an article from the US magazine Science of last Friday issue, which confirms that Albanian is one of the three oldest Indo-European languages still spoken.
The study methodology approach was carried out by presenting a new dataset of cognacy (shared word origins) across Indo-European. This dataset eliminates past inconsistencies and provides a fuller and more balanced language sample, including 52 non-modern languages for a denser set of time-calibration points, while applying ancestry-enabled Bayesian phylogenetic analysis to test rather than enforce direct ancestry assumptions.
The research ranks the Albanian language among the oldest together with Armenian and Greek.
Meanwhile, the research done mainly through computer language studies confirms the antiquity and authenticity of Albanian.
Also, the Greek scientists who have also conducted studies with DNA confirm that the Albanian population is autochthonous and very old in these lands. The results date the appearance of Indo-European languages around 8,000 years ago.
According to the Albanian Academy of Sciences, it is now definitively and irrefutably proven scientifically that, both Albanian people and Albanian language too are at least 6 thousand years old and autochthonous in these lands.
In summary, referring to this study, it comes out that the languages of the Indo-European family are spoken by almost by half the world’s population. It remains unclear, however, where this family’s common ancestral language (Proto-Indo-European) was initially spoken and when and why it spread through Eurasia.
