The “House with Leaves” museum in Tirana had some special visitors this week. It was visited by Ivanka Trump, the daughter of former US President Donald Trump, and her husband,Jared Kushner, in company of the Prime Minister, Edi Rama. 

It was the museum that informed through its social page on the news, which is also accompanied by the relevant photos. Visit to the “House with Leaves” museum was part of a series of visits that the President’s daughter made in Albania during the recent days, while she was mostly visiting the south of the country. 

At the end of this visit to the Museum, Ivanka Trump expressed herself in a congratulatory message for the entire tour she had in Albania, while summerizing it in the quote: “Thank you. All the best to both our countries America & Albania”. 

While her husband, Kushner, left a more detailed note in the Museum’s book of impressions praissing the transformation of extraordinary of Albania, by wishing that the horrors witnessed in this museum, where the practices of the former infamous State Security are evidenced,”will not be repeated”. “I thank you for such kind hospitality and for sharing with us the history of the oppression of Albania to better understand the extraordinary transformation, witnesses of who we are today. Let my people learn from this museum so that these horrors don’t happen again!” wrote Kushner. 

The National Museum of Secret Surveillance “House of Leaves” commemorates the psychological violence and total control of citizens during the communist regime in Albania, through the Cold War.
