The Arbëresh with their most popular centuries-old costumes and songs, the ‘Rozafati’ dance group from the US Albanian diaspora and the artists of the Gjirokastër district itself, the host country of the festival, took to the stage of the National Folklore Festival of Gjirokastër.

On the seventh night of the 11th edition of this festival, many young folklorists from the USA also stood out.

The festival is a surprise for all its elements, not only for local Albanians, but also for tourists coming from all over the world, not least from distant Australia.

“We are having a great time. We really like these concerts and especially the voices are fantastic” say the tourists from Australia and Denmark.

“It’s the fifth time I come to Albania and every time I come, I can’t get enough of your country. I love everything here. At the festival, I like the costumes, the voices, the songs, the dances, but also the audience,” the tourists say.
